The RevRun 2026 — Racing Through 250 Years of American History
December 26, 1776. July 4, 2026.
On a bitterly cold December night in 1776, George Washington led 2,400 soldiers across the icy Delaware River — right here, at Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. The audacious crossing led to a crucial victory at Trenton, turning the tide of the Revolutionary War and ultimately securing American independence.
Two hundred and fifty years later, on July 4, 2026, you'll run through that same historic ground to celebrate the nation those soldiers fought to create.
There are few places in America where history is more alive than Washington Crossing. And there is no better year to run here than the Semiquincentennial — the 250th birthday of the United States of America.
Washington Crossing Historic Park: Your Race Course
Washington Crossing Historic Park is one of Pennsylvania's most treasured historic sites. The park encompasses the area where Washington's crossing took place and includes preserved buildings, monuments, and landscapes from the Revolutionary era.
When you run the RevRun, you're not just racing a certified course — you're running through living history. The RevRun takes place in and around this remarkable setting, giving every participant a connection to the American story that no other race in the region can offer.
❤️ Your RevRun registration helps fund Washington Crossing Historic Park — you're literally running to preserve this history.
A Race 44 Years in the Making
The RevRun itself has its own history. Forty-four years of July 4th mornings. Forty-four years of families, runners, and community members coming together in this special place. In a country that is 250 years old, the RevRun has been a tradition for nearly a fifth of that time.
Generations have run this race. Some participants are now running with children who weren't born when they ran their first RevRun. This is community continuity. This is what July 4th should feel like.
Be Part of the 250th
Across America, cities and towns are planning events to mark the 250th anniversary of independence. In Washington Crossing, the RevRun is the community's celebration — active, inclusive, and rooted in the very place where American freedom was fought for.
Don't just watch the 250th from your couch. Run it. Race it. Live it.
